Fraudulent Galaxy Recruiting Activity Notice
Galaxy is aware of individuals impersonating its recruiters and hiring managers on LinkedIn and other platforms to carry out fraudulent recruiting processes that defraud job seekers. These individuals are not affiliated with Galaxy, and the positions they describe do not exist.
Characteristics of the scam may include:
• Unsolicited outreach messages, typically on LinkedIn, that offer a fully remote role at Galaxy, often from someone claiming to be a third-party HR partner.
• A request to schedule an introductory call through a generic scheduling link, with the meeting invitation sent from a personal email address.
• A subsequent “technical assessment” requiring candidates to download and run code or create a cryptocurrency wallet, which can be used to install malware or compromise credentials and digital assets.
Galaxy will never:
• Contact candidates from a personal email address. Official Galaxy correspondence is sent only from @galaxy.com addresses.
• Require candidates to run code, install software, or create or connect a cryptocurrency wallet as part of the hiring process.
• Request payment, cryptocurrency, or sensitive personal or financial information prior to a formal offer of employment.
• Conduct recruiting or interviews through Telegram, WhatsApp, or similar messaging applications.
